How do you make a fundraiser fun-er? Make it a prom...and then theme that prom to the 80's!
Less than 2 weeks ago that's what Art in the Public Eye did for their annual fundraiser. And let me tell you, it was totally rad man! They went all out with the decorations, music and even entertainment. It's like the 80's threw up everywhere (in a good way!).
If you don't know what Art in the Public Eye is, please go check out their site and social media. They are truly an awesome organization that puts on awesome events. Plus everyone involved is super talented...seriously everyone! This event was the powerhouse of the year to help keep the arts in the community and out there for everyone to enjoy or participate in. Along with being super talented they are 100% not-for-profit. Any and all money they get is turned right around to help the community and arts. Seriously go check them out!
Prom's are nothing without a king and queen. And in true fashion they are picked by popularity ...or in this case most applause after they've proven their coolness. The king and queen then shared a first dance to, "I've had the Time of my Life" with everyone joining hands circling them. This was truly a night to remember.
This organization does so much in the community and really helps get art out there. These are some of the nicest people I've ever worked with as well. If it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't be writing to all of you right now. I'm so thankful to be invited to shoot these events and help make a difference. Keep an eye out for their next major event which is 24 hour play fest. Check out the previous blogs to know what its all about!
